How can we help you?
Our services can help individuals maintain their independence at home while recovering from an acute illness or condition. The services can also help individuals with chronic conditions, and can actually be less expensive than other types of long-term care.
What services are provided by the home health aide?
Home health care aides provide many home care solutions, including:
- Personal Care – Home health aides are adept at assisting the patient and caregiver with bathing, hair care and shampoo, oral hygiene and denture care, shaving, nail care, assistance with dressing, toileting, catheter or ostomy care, and checking oral temperature, pulse and respirations.
- Activities of Daily Living – Assistance with walking, home exercise program and assistance with oral medications are all important skills our home health aides bring to elder home care patients and our other clients.
- Homemaking Activities – Bed making and linen change, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation and clean up.
- Companionship/Communication – Socialization, conversation, writing for, or reading to the client and answering home telephone are just some of the helpful services provided — especially helpful for those caring for aging parents or providing any senior home care.
- Chores/Errands – Our home health aides, and in some cases our specially trained volunteers, can assist with laundry, cleaners, grocery shopping, pharmacy and accompanying client to appointments.
