Adults 85 and older have one of the highest suicide rates of any age group in the U.S., and older men in particular face significantly elevated risk, frequently linked to isolation, health decline, and loss of loved ones. Yet these struggles are too often overlooked or mistaken for "just getting older." They deserve the same attention, compassion, and care as any other health concern. If the weight of a long-term struggle or a moment of crisis feels overwhelming, allow friends, family, or a trusted professional to help lighten the burden.
