We pride ourselves in offering nursing opportunities to include a wide range of background and experience levels from new graduate nurses to seasoned professionals. Our team is comprised of mostly Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) prepared nurses, some of whom have also obtained a Master of Science (MSN) degree. Our comprehensive orientation for all new staff provides the training, education, and hands on skill to feel confident in caring for patients independently. |
Hospice
VNA offers Hospice at Home to meet the needs of patients and their loves ones. Our Hospice patients are cared for by a multidisciplinary team that works with the patient, family, and doctors to provide medical, social, emotional, and practical support. Our Hospice Team is well versed in providing comfort to patients and their loved ones during end of life. |
Therapy
VNA Rehab team plays an integral part of the Home Care team comprised of dedicated physical, occupational, and speech therapists. Our therapists help patients regain lost mobility and function after an injury, surgery, stroke, or other illness. The therapy team works in conjunction with our nursing team to conduct assessments and design individualized therapy regimens for each patient. |
Administrative/Support
Who knew there are so many opportunities outside of nursing here at VNA? VNA administrative staff help to support the clinical teams to provide exceptional patient care to our communities. Administrative departments include clinical support, referral services, quality, marketing and development, information technology, human resources, finance, and so much more! |
VNA is committed to participating in educational partnerships that encourage nursing students to consider home care as a career upon graduation.
We partner with local university nursing programs to be part of clinical rotations and intern/externship programs. In addition, we offer new graduate nurses an opportunity to join our home care team! Our extensive orientation and training program, along with skills lab resources, offers hands-on training.

I have been with VNA for over 2.5 years. A distinguishable feature of this company is the positive and friendly atmosphere. No question is left unanswered; mentorship and assistance are available whenever it’s needed. Teamwork and educational opportunities add to a great and productive working environment.
LS, Physical Therapist
Working at the VNANNJ is the highlight of my career. I am supported by an outstanding team of professionals to do my absolute best to recruit top-tier staff while balancing my work life needs. I enjoy collaborating with and learning from such great people. Every day I see, firsthand, the dedication of our Management Team, Office Staff, Field Staff and Hospice Staff to the patients, families and caregivers. Whether working directly with patients, or behind the scenes, the VNANNJ staff goes over and above to be the best in class. The support and encouragement among our staff fosters a healthy, pleasant, welcoming work environment.

I've been employed by VNANNJ for almost 5 years now. I never thought that I will stay this long in one company. I love working with this company because our management team are very supportive and appreciative of our service. They always have your back if you needed help. We have the best team.
SP, Staff Nurse
I have never known an employer who cares as much as the VNA. They truly care about their patients, family members, and staff members like no other. Everyone in this organization is so kind and welcoming that it’s such a joy to come to work every day.
CW, Human Resources
VNANNJ is a not-for-profit organization that values service to the community and our patients. The work here really matters, helping folks live better, with the opportunity to integrate a multidisciplinary team to meet patients’ needs. What we do is both challenging and rewarding, helping patients and caregivers in their home, with supportive administrative team that truly appreciates the employees and the work we do.
LM, Rehab Manager
I’ve been with the VNA for over two years and am most impressed by the work environment they’ve created, where co-workers are respectful and supportive of each other and there is deep appreciation and support for working parents. There’s room for professional growth, too: I raised my hand to help in another department and was quickly trained and given more responsibilities.
SE, Administrative Support Staff
VNA's good working environment and people, the ability to learn new systems and great benefits are a few of the reasons why I have enjoyed working here for the past 4 years.
SN, Billing Team Leader
Home care has always interested me and I enjoy the direct patient interaction. VNA offers a new graduate program which was a perfect transition from nursing school to begin my career. Each day I see 3-4 patients in their homes, depending on whether it is a Routine or an Admission visit. I love the opportunity to see something new every day. I am able to have independence in the field and make important clinical decisions, while still having the help of a supervisor when needed. The benefits of working at the VNA for me are having normal work hours, only working one weekend per month, working at my own pace and being able to schedule patients at times convenient for me.
CR, Staff Nurse Admissions Level II
A typical day working as a VNA staff nurse is setting up for each patient on my daily schedule, visiting patients, charting the information, calling MDs, sending emails and following up. What I enjoy most about working for the VNA is the appreciation patients have for my nursing services and having an excellent team leader and awesome co-workers.
BM, Staff Nurse Level I
This VNA stands out over other companies to me because of their use of modern technology and equipment. I also like working for a non-profit that benefits the community. They value a young and dynamic work force, and they are supportive and offer ways to advance within the company. The VNA is a place where I feel valued for my contributions, and where I feel my work has a real impact on the organization.
JF, Systems Administrator
My job is sometimes challenging and stressful, but always tremendously rewarding. I would definitely encourage other young nurses to consider a career path with the VNA.
