Did you know? Cold, Flu, or COVID?

Many symptoms of cold, flu, and COVID-19 overlap, including sore throat, runny nose, cough, headache, and body aches, while loss of taste and smell, diarrhea, and confusion may be indicators of COVID-19 rather than cold or flu. It’s complicated!

AARP provides helpful information here, including:

• Keep Home COVID-19 Tests on hand. They are readily available at pharmacies and online.
• Staying current with your flu vaccine and all available COVID shots and boosters is critical.
• Note that even If you are fully vaccinated for flu and COVID, you may still become infected, but symptoms will almost always be less severe and you’ll recover more quickly.

And remember, the basics for treating symptoms of cold, flu, or COVID are essentially the same:

• Get plenty of rest
• Drink lots of fluids
• Avoid transmitting infection to others
• And a bowl of hot chicken soup can’t hurt
