Donations Can Provide Tax Benefits

Here are some great benefits for those who give (always consult your tax professional) and the good you can do by donating to VNANNJ.

• If you itemize your tax return, donations to qualified organizations (like VNANNJ) may entitle you to a deduction against your income tax. Donations to VNANNJ help to buy PPE equipment to keep our caregiving heroes safe.

 

• Your contribution is deductible in the year in which it is paid. Now is a good time to give and help VNANNJ provide services to more homebound people in our communities.

 

• There are limits on how much can be deducted but the limits are quite high and apply to very few people. Any amount donated to VNANNJ is greatly appreciated and helps keep the ill and elderly in their homes and out of hospitals and nursing homes.



• Always keep track of your contributions. Get and keep a receipt of the donation from the receiving organization. Please consider a donation to the VNANNJ to help provide home care to those in need.

 

• Now is the perfect time to donate. Incentives for more generous federal tax deductions, originally created under the 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, have been extended through 2021.
